USA SOFTWARE was founded in 1991 as a software development company to develop, produce and market software for the accounting and tax businesses. These were so successful that USA was encouraged to offer these services to others.
Beginning in 1992, USA offered disk duplication, package design and package manufacture to others, and developed a reputation for helping fledgling software developers to get their products in attractive packaging.
In 1993, USA began an on-line marketing effort to explore the developing on-line activity, being one of the first to attempt to capitalize on this area. By using the existing on-line services, Compuserve, Prodigy, etc. and later America on-line to advertise and promote products, USA developed the methodology to take advantage of this medium. Creating e-brochures, e-mail solicitations and e-mail delivery of software, a new market area was developed. This has blossomed into powerful market reach with the popularity of the Internet and the World Wide Web.
In 1994, fulfillment services were added, making USA a full service packaging house. The addition of toll free order lines, credit card processing, and wrap-pack-ship capability makes USA a one-stop shop for new software developers. CD-ROM mastering and reproduction were added in 1996.
Electronic publishing technology and equipment were added in 1995. USA now converts thousands of documents per week from hard copy to digital text, as well as creating hypertext books and documents for market. Creation of original e-books, DEMOs, sales brochures, training manuals and dozens of other applications has made USA a leader in electronic publishing.
In 1996, USA began to maximize the impact of on-line activity with a greatly expanded WEB site. All the products produced by USA are made available on our WEB site at the developers discretion. USA creates WEB pages and sites for others as well as providing developers with a viable location to display their products.
USA has developed a powerful database engine for use by Human Resources groups to help them manage their people resources. This capability, combined with resume scanning and turnkey installations can bring your human resources company up to speed with the latest technology. Employment agencies, search companies, temporary agencies, and corporate human resources departments can all benefit from this technology and capability, by making their resume files easily manageable and searchable.
In 2000, USA added a focus on technical and construction software, and is actively seeking additional software lines in this area.
